Urban Recovery is committed to providing comprehensive care for individuals facing substance and alcohol use disorders. Our facility offers a wide range of services, including detoxification, medication-assisted treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery therapy. We are currently hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Vocational Nurse (LPN) to join our team!

In this role, you will provide individualized nursing care based on the unique needs of clients, using established nursing techniques and standards under the guidance of a registered nurse. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team while enhancing your clinical skills!

Shift Options:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer medications according to Safe Nursing Practice standards and physician orders.
• Educate patients about their medications, documenting their responses and compliance; report any abnormalities to the registered nurse or physician.
• Record all patient activities, including admissions, discharges, transfers, and emergency room visits; alert the registered nurse or physician of any irregularities.
• Document the detoxification process and the patient's behavioral responses; communicate any concerns to the registered nurse or physician.
• Record treatment interventions and patient responses; notify the registered nurse or physician of any issues.
• Collaborate with the treatment team regarding patient progress, reporting any concerns to the registered nurse or physician.
• Conduct withdrawal assessments and monitor vital signs as indicated in the treatment plan.
• Gather data for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives, such as census, Kardex, risk management, incident reports, infection control, and medication events; inform the registered nurse or physician of any abnormalities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current NY State Board of Nursing License and Registration.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• At least two (2) years of nursing experience.
• Preferred experience in addiction treatment.
