Healthcare Coordinator

We are an organization dedicated to providing care and support for those facing substance and alcohol use disorders. We are in search of Healthcare Coordinators to join our team. In this position, Healthcare Coordinators will support clients by removing barriers to treatment and keeping them engaged in addiction services. They will demonstrate recovery and coping skills while instilling hope in clients on their recovery path.

Available Shifts:

• 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Core Responsibilities:

• Interact with clients in a courteous, supportive, and professional manner at all times.
• Communicate regularly with counselors and nursing staff about client issues and care.
• Promote positive relationships and conversations among clients and staff.
• Assist in the transportation of clients within the facility.
• Ensure clients adhere to their scheduled program activities.
• Conduct room checks for all clients.
• Perform census checks every two hours (four times per shift), including after meals.
• Observe clients for inconsistent behavior and report to the appropriate staff (Clinical, Nursing, etc.), including this information in your shift report.
• Assist in de-escalating challenging behaviors among clients.
• Monitor and manage client linen and laundry.
• Keep track of linen supplies and replenish as necessary.
• Collect dirty laundry and prepare it for housekeeping services.
• Return clean laundry to clients.
• Search and document the belongings of new admissions.
• Support staff in screening clients and their possessions for contraband.
• Serve as a positive role model for clients and colleagues!

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant work experience.
