Attention to Detail: RNs must be detail-oriented to ensure that all aspects of patient care are considered. They must be able to monitor patients' conditions and make necessary adjustments to their care plans:

• The eligibility criteria includes possession of an active and unrestricted RN license in the state of New York
• Applicants with previous experience in a skilled nursing environment are desirable.

RN Job Summary:

A Registered Nurse (RN) is entrusted with the responsibility of planning and implementing nursing care for patients or residents seeking long-term or restorative care.

RNs are often responsible for assessing and managing a patient's pain level and ensuring that appropriate pain medications are administered:

• Executes nursing procedures in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, facility rules and regulations, and informed nursing judgment.
• Studies, orchestrates and appraises the nursing care delivered to those patients and residents in need of rehabilitation or long-term care.
• Hollistically caring for patients that require long-term or rehabilitative care.
• Executes the care plan for patients/residents and gauges the patient/resident's response.
• Provides guidance and direction to other nursing personnel in caring for patients.
• Contributes to the evaluation and refinement of guidelines for healthcare delivery.
• Maintains a thorough understanding of vital document prerequisites.
• Displays thorough comprehension and practical experience in the proper use, setup, and maintenance of medical equipment, which encompasses infusion pumps, monitors, and drains, among others.
• Abides by ethical standards and safeguards patient/resident confidentiality and rights, in regards to any patient/resident/personnel related information.
• Imparts valuable information to patients, caregivers, or family members as deemed essential or as per instruction.
• Maintains a professional image that aligns with the unit and facility policies.
• Adheres to a schedule that includes rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Required Education and Experience:

• Successfully completing an undergraduate program in nursing is a crucial prerequisite for obtaining a nursing license.
• A requirement for this job opening is that all applicants must have a minimum of one year's worth of nursing experience in the medical/surgical field in either an acute care setting, ideally in a hospital, or a long-term care setting.
• A reliable source of transportation is necessary for this role.
