We are an organization dedicated to the care and treatment of individuals struggling with substance and alcohol use disorders. Our focus is on providing high-quality patient care, ensuring that our patients are always our priority. Our medical facility offers a comprehensive array of services, including detoxification, medication-assisted treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery therapy. We are currently looking for Full-Time Vocational Nurse (LPN) to join our team!

In this role, the LPN will provide nursing care tailored to meet the individual needs of clients, following established nursing standards under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer all medications according to Safe Nursing Practice standards and physicians' orders.
• Educate patients about their medications, documenting their understanding and any compliance issues; notify a registered nurse or physician of any abnormalities.
• Document patient activities such as admissions, discharges, and emergency room visits, and alert the nursing team of any irregularities.
• Monitor and document the detoxification process, including patient responses, and notify nursing or medical staff of any concerns.
• Record treatment interventions and the patient's responses, reporting any abnormalities to the registered nurse or physician.
• Communicate with the treatment team regarding the patient's progress, alerting a registered nurse or physician to any issues.
• Conduct withdrawal assessments and vital signs as required by the treatment plan.
• Collect data for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives, including Census and Incident Reports, and report abnormalities to nursing or medical staff.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current NY State Board of Nursing License and Registration.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Preferred experience in addiction treatment.
