As LPN, it is essential to oversee admissions, transfers, discharges, while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to report all changes in residents' condition. You will also be responsible for managing medication requisitions and administration, in line with hospital policies. To qualify as an LPN, you must be licensed by the state, have CPR certification, and have at least two years of prior nursing experience

• Healthcare professionals must collaborate to ensure that any legal or financial requirements related to admissions, discharges, and transfers are met
• Prescription filling facilitated by pharmacy and doctors
• Medication administration
• It is important to observe the center's infection control measures, emergency response protocols, and other policies
• To provide the most effective results for residents, a collaborative approach involving their interdisciplinary team is necessary
• Being vigilant in detecting and reporting any changes in residents' condition is an integral part of providing high-quality care and maintaining residents' safety and well-being in long-term care facilities

LPNs must demonstrate physical stamina and emotional stability to handle the demands of the job, which can include long hours, frequent patient interactions, and exposure to patients with challenging medical conditions:

• State licensing is mandatory for LPNs to work in the nursing field
