Regional Certified Dietary Manager ( CDM ) Job Summary:

The Regional Certified Dietary Manager ( CDM ) is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the dietary departments across multiple facilities to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality nutritional services. The Regional Certified Dietary Manager plays a key role in standardizing dietary practices, improving efficiency, supporting staff development, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all assigned sites.

 Regional Certified Dietary Manager ( CDM ) Major Duties and Critical Tasks:

• Provide operational leadership for dietary services at 15 skilled nursing and long-term care facilitiesEnsure consistency in food service standards, nutritional care, and regulatory compliance across all locations
• Develop, implement, and monitor dietary policies and procedures
• Assist each facility in budgeting, cost control, and purchasing best practices
• Conduct routine site visits to evaluate operations, support staff, and reinforce quality expectations
• Partner with facility Administrators and interdisciplinary teams to meet resident needs and dietary goals

• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of dietary staff at each site

• Lead performance evaluations and provide mentoring and coaching for Dietary Managers and kitchen staff

• Organize monthly in-services and continuing education programs to maintain compliance and foster staff development

• Serve as a liaison between corporate leadership and facility dietary departments

• Track and analyze key performance indicators across the region and recommend improvements

• Stay informed on state and federal guidelines impacting dietary and food service operations

 Regional Certified Dietary Manager ( CDM ) Education and Experience:

• Successful Completion of Certified Dietary Manager Credentialing Exam
• 2 + Years Experience in Food Service Management Preferred
• Skilled Nursing/ Long Term Care/ Assisted Living/Independent Living Experience Preferred

• Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and implement standardized practices across multiple locations

• 5+ Years experience in Food Service required

• Previous experience as a Regional Manager preferred 

• Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills

• Willingness and ability to travel regularly between facilities (up to 75% regional travel)
