We are currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Nurse Manager (RN) to work Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM. The RN Unit Manager is responsible for ensuring that high-quality nursing care is provided efficiently and effectively while supervising nursing staff within the designated unit. This role involves managing resident care through MDS, care planning, and conducting assessments and observations. Responsibilities of the Nurse Manager (RN) include:

  • Reporting any suspected cases of mistreatment, neglect, or abuse, along with injuries of unknown origin.

Nurse Manager (RN) Duties:

  1. Assist in interpreting facility policies and state laws related to nursing services.
  2. Participate in safety programs and procedures at the facility.
  3. Keep the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) informed about nursing activities, needs, issues, and unusual occurrences.
  4. Recommend supplies and equipment necessary for nursing services.
  5. Conduct routine checks on staff, timecards, equipment, and supplies.
  6. Advise the ADON and Director of Nursing regarding hiring, promotions, suspensions, and terminations of nursing staff.
  7. Help with in-service training programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
  8. Investigate and address complaints.
  9. Assume charge of the floor in the absence of the charge nurse or assistant charge nurse, assisting with daily duties as needed.
