LPN Nursing Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Works under direct supervision, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, state regulations, and facility policies.
• Provides nursing services to patients needing long-term or rehabilitative care.
• Collects patient data, makes observations, and reports important findings related to the care process.
• Implements and evaluates care plans according to state regulations.
• Supervises nursing staff in certain care situations, following the appropriate state guidelines.
• Keeps up to date with necessary documentation requirements and standards.
• Ensures proper setup, maintenance, and use of medical equipment like monitors and infusion pumps.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and respects their rights in all circumstances.
• Educates patients, family members, and caregivers on the patient's care needs and processes.
• Demonstrates professional conduct according to facility policies and nursing standards.
• Works rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Responds to emergencies, providing necessary support such as CPR or injury prevention.
• Contributes to care plan development and reviews.
• Regularly evaluates patient care and makes adjustments as needed.
• Educates patients on discharge planning and ongoing care.
• Ensures compliance with facility procedures and documentation requirements.
• Coordinates care and ensures smooth communication within the team.
