General Maintenance Technician

The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, basic carpentry, heating and cooling units, and other building components.

Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Key Duties:

• Assess and pinpoint equipment or machines that need repairs.
• Troubleshoot problems to figure out the necessary fixes.
• Prepare for repair tasks by consulting building blueprints or equipment manuals as required.
• Carry out general repairs that don't require specialized skills, such as drywall repair, painting, and fixing doors and other building fixtures.
• Perform regular maintenance on building systems.
• Assist in keeping the facilities clean and maintained.
• Procure supplies and materials needed for maintenance and repair work.
• Report safety concerns related to clients and staff to the Director of Operations and other management members.
• Follow the Surfpoint Recovery dress code.
• Complete and adjust daily tasks according to staff capabilities and operational standards.
• Manage time effectively to take on other duties assigned by supervisors based on facility requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with standard power tools and cleaning equipment.
• Strong skills in prioritization and time management.
• Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality.
• Organized and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
• Proactive, energetic, and efficient in task execution.
