Role Description

As Registered Nurse Unit Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing program in our long-term care facility. Your role will involve ensuring that nursing services meet professional standards, comply with regulations, and align with the facility's policies and quality assurance programs.

Main Duties

• Supervise and guide nursing staff to maintain high standards of care, ensuring that all staff are actively involved in quality assurance and utilization review activities.
• Assist with identifying and addressing clinical risks, helping to implement risk reduction strategies.
• Ensure clear communication of physician orders to the relevant units and staff members.
• Oversee the delegation of nursing and therapeutic tasks to ensure appropriate care delivery.
• Conduct regular rounds to assess residents' physical conditions, behaviors, and overall care, ensuring that all observations and treatments are properly documented.
• Facilitate and participate in incident investigations, providing accurate and timely reports to nursing administration.
• Ensure infection control measures and proper biohazard waste disposal protocols are followed.

Education and Experience

• Current RN license required; experience in long-term care or working with elderly patients is preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum of three years nursing experience, including at least one year in a supervisory position.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with excellent planning skills.
