Clinical Nurse Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse Supervisor to lead our inpatient substance abuse treatment program, reporting to the Clinical Director. This key position entails managing all clinical aspects of the program, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality treatment services and aftercare planning for clients. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor will provide individual therapy, treatment planning, case management, client advocacy, and crisis intervention.

Key Duties:

• Work closely with the Clinical Director and counselors to create and implement a comprehensive care continuum for clients.
• Direct counseling staff in delivering trauma-informed, family-oriented mental health services within the inpatient setting.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions and participate in case conferences.
• Evaluate clinical materials for appropriateness and oversee the introduction of new curricula.
• Ensure staff are properly trained in the use of the treatment curricula being implemented.
• Supervise the assessment of new patients, manage treatment schedules, assign caseloads, and evaluate clinician performance.
• Review and approve all clinical documentation, treatment progress reports, and care coordination plans, ensuring timely record-keeping and compliance with regulations.
• Assess and support staff development, leveraging strengths and addressing areas for improvement.
• Serve as a liaison with families, providing recommendations for program enhancements.
• Conduct ongoing assessments to identify client needs and inform treatment strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards through regular chart reviews.
• Participate in meetings with the Clinical Director to discuss program modifications and enhancements.
• Engage in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, proposing necessary corrections to the Clinical Director.
• Maintain performance standards in line with organizational expectations.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid NYS Licensure/Certification
• Must be a Qualified Health Professional (QHP)
• 3-5 years of experience in substance abuse treatment and staff supervision
