Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for day (7a-3p), evening (3p-11p), overnight (11p-7a) shifts, as well as double weekend shifts. We are also offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for Full-Time CNAs and a $1,500 sign-on bonus for Part-Time CNAs!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA):

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, toileting, oral hygiene, grooming, and more.
• Provide specialized care for residents with specific needs (e.g., behavioral issues or splints).
• Report any cases of mistreatment, neglect, or abuse, including unexplained injuries.
• Accurately document resident care using a computerized medical record system.
• Monitor and report changes in resident conditions to LPNs/RNs.
• Respond promptly and politely to call bells.
• Assist with post-mortem care as needed.
• Perform vital signs as instructed.
• Report to duty on time, receive assignments, and provide updates to the Charge Nurse.
• Keep the unit clean and organized.
• Help residents participate in activities and assist with ADLs during activities when necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA):

• Must be able to move throughout the unit.
• Able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, lift, and transport equipment and residents.
• Proficiency in using a computerized medical record system for documentation purposes.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Summary: A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides support to nurses (RN and LPN) in delivering daily living activities.

Main Duties & Critical Tasks:

• Care for multiple residents within the facility.
• Respect and uphold Resident Rights.
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Help nurses with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents.
• Assist in treatments and resident examinations.
• Support restorative and rehab care with proper training and supervision.
• Maintain reliability and punctuality by arriving to work as scheduled.

Required Education & Experience:

• A valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of practice.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Capability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to work well with others in a team setting.
