At Urban Recovery, we focus on the comprehensive care of individuals dealing with substance and alcohol use disorders. Our state-of-the-art facility supports patients through every phase of recovery, from detox and medication-assisted treatment to rehabilitation and therapy. We are currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis.

Work Schedule:

• Day shift only: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Available days: Monday, Friday, and Saturday

Role Overview:

As LPN, you will deliver personalized care tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Working under the direction of a registered nurse, you will contribute to a supportive and effective treatment environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer medications according to nursing standards and physician orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Educate patients on their medications, documenting their understanding and compliance in the medical record. Escalate concerns to the RN or physician.
• Record patient activities, including admissions, discharges, transfers, and external medical visits. Communicate irregularities to the RN or physician.
• Monitor and document detoxification progress and any behavioral changes, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Maintain accurate treatment records, detailing interventions and patient responses.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to discuss patient progress and address any clinical concerns.
• Perform withdrawal assessments and vital sign checks per treatment plans.
• Support Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives by collecting and reporting relevant data.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Active New York State Nursing License and Registration.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience (preferred), with addiction treatment experience being a plus.
