We are an organization focused on supporting individuals dealing with substance and alcohol use disorders. We are currently seeking Medical Care Coordinators to join our team. In this capacity, Medical Care Coordinators will assist clients in overcoming treatment barriers and staying engaged in addiction services. They will exemplify recovery skills and coping strategies while providing hope and encouragement to clients on their path to recovery.
Shifts Available:
3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Primary Responsibilities:
Interact with clients in a professional, courteous, empathetic, and supportive manner at all times.
Communicate regularly with counselors and nursing staff regarding client concerns and care.
Encourage positive interactions and conversations among clients and staff members.
Assist with the transportation of clients within the facility.
Ensure that clients adhere to their scheduled activities in the program.
Conduct regular room checks for all clients.
Perform census checks every two hours (four times per shift), including after meals.
Monitor client behavior for inconsistencies and report these to the appropriate staff (Clinical, Nursing, etc.), documenting this in your shift report.
Assist in de-escalating situations involving clients with behavioral challenges.
Manage linen and laundry for clients.
Monitor linen supplies and restock as needed.
Collect dirty laundry and prepare it for housekeeping.
Return clean laundry to clients.
Search and document the belongings of new admissions.
Support staff in screening clients and their items for contraband.
Act as a role model for both clients and staff!
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of related experience.
Skills Required:
Attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication abilities.
Kindness - committed to providing the best possible client care.
Empathy - recognizing that our clients are working toward improvement.
Emotional intelligence - understanding that clients may be emotional over small issues, which isn't personal!
Ability and willingness to de-escalate difficult situations.
Eagerness to learn and grow.
