Maintenance Associate

The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical work, basic carpentry, heating and cooling systems, and other essential building systems.

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Core Responsibilities:

• Inspect and identify equipment or machines that require repairs.
• Troubleshoot issues to establish the necessary repairs.
• Plan repair tasks using building blueprints or equipment manuals as needed.
• Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician, such as drywall repair, painting, and fixing doors.
• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems.
• Assist in the cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities.
• Order supplies and materials needed for repair and maintenance work.
• Communicate safety issues related to clients and staff to the Director of Operations and other management staff.
• Follow the Surfpoint Recovery dress code.
• Complete and adjust daily assignments in line with staff skills and operational standards.
• Adapt time management to handle other duties as assigned by supervisors based on facility requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with common power tools and cleaning equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Quick work pace without compromising quality.
• Organized and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of safety practices in the workplace.
• Energetic, proactive, and efficient in executing tasks.
