RN Unit Manager Overview:

As RN Unit Manager, you will oversee nursing staff and coordinate nursing services during your shift to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Acting in alignment with facility policies and state regulations, you will provide leadership and continuity in the absence of the ADON or Director of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Interpret facility policies and state laws related to nursing services.
2. Participate in and enforce facility safety programs and procedures.
3. Report nursing activities, issues, and unusual events to the ADON.
4. Recommend necessary equipment and supply purchases.
5. Conduct routine checks on staff, equipment, and supplies.
6. Provide hiring, promotion, or termination recommendations for nursing staff.
7. Assist in developing and evaluating in-service education programs.
8. Investigate and document complaints as needed.
9. Serve as Floor Charge Nurse when required.
